Data Deletion Flow

1. How to Delete
Open the Croachtalks app, go to Settings and choose Deactivate Account. That sends the account deletion request. If you cannot open the app, write to [email protected] from the e-mail address on your account.
2. What gets Deleted
Your account is hidden from other members as soon as you send the request, and your notification device tokens are removed. If you do nothing, your profile and sign-in identity are permanently erased 30 days after the request; until then an administrator can restore the account if you change your mind. Profile photos are removed as part of the erasure.
3. Exceptions (Safety Retentions)
Safety reports filed against you, major moderation decisions, audit logs, ban reasons, and active legal holds may require limited retention to prevent platform abuse and preserve integrity for other users.
4. Backend Processing
A scheduled job runs every night and erases the accounts whose 30 days have passed, together with the records that depend on them. Backups can keep copies for the length of the backup window before they expire.
