Data Deletion Flow

1. How to Delete

Users can initiate the deletion process directly inside the Croachtalks app by navigating to Settings > Account > Account Deletion.

2. What gets Deleted

Your public profile, notification settings, device tokens, saved activity bookmarks, and non-required account data will be permanently deleted or completely anonymized once the request is processed.

3. Exceptions (Safety Retentions)

Safety reports filed against you, major moderation decisions, audit logs, ban reasons, and active legal holds may require limited retention to prevent platform abuse and preserve integrity for other users.

4. Backend Processing

Deletion is handled securely through our backend edge functions that clean up all dependent records before completely removing your core identity.
