How Croachtalks is built so that meeting new people feels safe from the first tap.
When browsing group activities near you, public maps only display a rough, fuzzed radius (for example, “Downtown area”) instead of a pinpoint. The exact GPS coordinates or address stay hidden and are only revealed to approved participants, at the host's discretion, once they've joined.
Every member builds a reputation over time from showing up and from host reviews. Hosts can make an activity approval-only and review every request before anyone joins.
If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can flag their profile or specific chat messages in a tap. Reports go straight to our moderation queue, and we can restrict or remove accounts that break the rules.
